Maori--Native People--Culture Night--Rotorua

The Maori people look Simoan to me so I think they must both have Polynesian influences. I went to the culture night and saw a traditional canoe ride for battle. We ate "hangi" which is their word for the meal. It was cooked over hot rocks in the ground. Delicious!! Pics were hard to take at night, I will write more about the Maori's, very interesting.
